cm hoch, mit beblätterten Seitentrieben. Der Stängel ist in der Regel an 2 Seiten flaumig. Die grundständigen Blätter sind verkehrt-eiförmig, gestielt, oval, mehr oder weniger sitzend, ganzrandig oder mit stumpfen Zähnen versehen, spärlich behaart bis unbehaart, oft rotviolett gefärbt.Die Blüten befinden sich in (Scheinwirteln) in den Achseln der Hochblätter. Die Blütenkrone ist blau, mit helleren und dunkleren Mustern versehen, selten rosa, ,5 cm lang, mit einer sehr kurzen, geraden Oberlippe und einer deutlich längeren, dreiteiligen Unterlippe. Die Teilfrüchte sind ungefähr 2,5 mm lang.
